Explore the Advanced Learning Journey in Our Master’s Program

This section presents Kidron College’s commitment to deepening biblical knowledge and fostering spiritual maturity through rigorous graduate studies, inspiring students to grow in faith and scholarship.

Our Vision

Our vision is both simple and bold: to raise up a new generation of Messianic Jewish scholars who are grounded in Torah, conversant with Jewish tradition, and fully committed to the revelation of Yeshua.

This program does not skim the surface of Scripture or repeat popular slogans. Students engage deeply with:

  • Torah, Prophets, and Writings
  • Rabbinic literature and Talmud
  • The Brit Chadashah in its Jewish context
  • Jewish History and Theology
  • Mussar, ethics, and spiritual formation
  • Zohar and Jewish mysticism

You will learn how Jewish sources and Messianic faith speak together within the unfolding story of God’s covenant with Israel and the nations.

At Kidron College, you are not simply earning a degree—you are joining a movement committed to restoring the integrity of biblical faith through disciplined study, careful research, and faithful teaching.

A Program Designed for Real Life

This is a self-paced master’s program designed for students already serving in ministry, the workplace, or academic environments.

Many of our students are pastors, Messianic leaders, teachers, or serious lay learners balancing family, work, and calling. The program’s flexible structure allows you to progress at a pace that fits your life while maintaining clear academic expectations.

You will always know:

  • What is required
  • How to move forward
  • How each research and writing milestone contributes to your long-term development as a scholar

Throughout the program, students are encouraged to maintain regular communication with professors, ask questions, and receive meaningful feedback that sharpens thinking and deepens understanding.

Ten Core Areas of Study

The strength of this program lies in ten core academic categories that cover major areas of Messianic Jewish thought and practice. Each category encourages you to explore how Jewish sources and the revelation of Yeshua connect in the ongoing story of God’s covenant with Israel and the nations. Some students may be more drawn to text and language; others to history and theology; still others to ethics, spirituality, or community life.

  • Torah & Tanakh
  • Brit Chadashah
  • Rabbinic Literature & Talmud
  • Theology
  • Jewish History
  • Hebrew Language
  • Mussar & Ethics
  • Mysticism (Zohar/Kabbalah)
  • Interfaith Relations
  • Practical Ministry

These provide a framework for deep, guided exploration of the Jewish context of Scripture and Messianic faith.

Students are encouraged to pursue the areas of study that most deeply resonate with them—such as Mussar, history, language, and related disciplines—within a program carefully structured to establish a rigorous and enduring scholarly foundation.

Two Scholarly Pathways

Every student selects one of two rigorous academic pathways, each designed to cultivate serious scholarship, research excellence, and teaching competency.

Both paths are demanding. Both are formative. They differ only in emphasis—breadth versus depth.

1. The Direct Method

The Direct Method is ideal for students who desire broad exposure across the field of Messianic Jewish studies.

Students select seven of the ten core academic categories.

  • Choose 7 of 10 academic categories (Listed above)
  • Write 7 major research papers (40–60 pages over time)
  • Develop 3 full video courses (24–26 lessons each) from selected papers
  • Opportunity for your course to be used in Kidron College’s bachelor’s program—with a share of tuition allocated to you

This path builds your skill across a wide range of disciplines and prepares you to research and teach effectively.

“You never really know something until you teach it to someone else” John Maxwell

2. The Specific Field of Study Method

Designed for students who desire deeper, more integrated scholarly work.

  • Choose two paired sets of categories (listed above) research projects (50–75 pages each)
  • Create two full video courses based on those projects
  • Complete three additional stand-alone research papers
  • Also eligible for tuition-sharing when courses are used in the bachelor’s program

This path emphasizes synthesis, interdisciplinary thinking, and deeper
specialization.

The Master’s Thesis

All students complete a 100–125 page published thesis, demonstrating original contribution to Messianic Jewish scholarship.

This capstone project integrates everything you’ve learned—research skills, Jewish sources, Messianic theology, and academic writing.
